The IFYR, held annually in July at the Heart of Oklahoma Expo Center in Shawnee, OK, hosts over 1,000 high school age cowboys and cowgirls from across the country The annual rodeo started in August 1935, and in 1948, it beat the Cheyenne Frontier Days as the most-attended outdoor rodeo in the world that year.
